About Me

I have done a lot of things in my life and have also worked in many different jobs to make a living and to experience life. This blog is just some of my musings, sometimes funny, sometimes inspirational, sometimes sad, sometimes angry, sometimes simple but all the time, it's just me.

Love Heals

Many people say true love should hurt for it to be true love. Even the song by Nazareth (coincidentally named after Jesus of Nazareth) goes Love hurts, love scars, love wounds and marks; Any heart not tough or strong enough to take a lot of pain, take a lot of pain; Love is like a cloud holds a lot of rain.

I do not believe this one bit. Love does not hurt. Love only heals.

What hurts is when people use Ego in the name of Love to hurt others.

I believe what the good books and advice from Thirukural which states:
One who has no love in his heart will try to possess everything for himself.

One who has love in his heart is ready to sacrifice everything including his own body for the benefit of others.

The ignorant say that love leads one to Dharma only; but love is a defense against evil too and love helps one to get out of vice also.

The life of a man who has no love in his heart is as futile as the existence and flourishing of a withered tree in a barren land.

The human body which is sustained by love is truly alive, where as the human body which is not sustained by love is mere assembly of bones covered with skin.

Science usually cannot explain what it does not see, but this does not mean it does not exist. What science does not see includes beauty, devotion, faith, inspiration, nobility, compassion, empathy, fate, intuition and love itself.

Are these fictions and illusions just because science does not see?

Love with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

When we experience the unconditional nature of love, we open to a view of unlimited healing power.

When you just say, "I Love You" it opens up a whole new form of healing. Do it internally.

Love , gratitude and forgiveness ... I have been talking about this for quite some time now.

When I do my Reiki , I do it for the highest good with Love, Gratitude and Forgiveness.

In my meditation yesterday, I received some interesting news, not necessarily good, but interesting.

And all I can say is thank you, and I love you.

When someone crosses you or in a jam someone cuts into your lane, why get angry? Just say, thank you, I love you.

When someone says something you do not agree with, say thank you and I love you.

When someone hurts you, do not let them, and say thank you and I love you. And you will not hurt because love will heal you.

Before you even answer a phone or go speak to someone, just say thank you, I love you, please forgive me and talk to the person.

When you are sick and tired of the politics of this country, just say thank you and I love you to yourself.

My house gets the Star newspaper daily. I used to work for the paper nearly 20 years ago and I have not read it in many many years. I do not like to read newspapers anymore. The only section of the Star that I read is Section 2 and I read the comics.

Every now and then I will turn to the sports pages and go to the obituaries. When I see the obituaries, all I say is God Bless You, thank you and I love you.

On a rare occasion, I will skim through the headlines of the paper and all I say is thank you and I love you to the headlines. I am generally sick and tired of the negative news, so the only way to heal myself is to love myself unconditionally.

People say you should not love so easily. Again I disagree, cause love does not hurt, and it only heals ... I do not have a problem to give love everyone, to every soul living eternally.

Love does not expire, love does not have conditions, love does not end, love is in abundance .... there is enough to go around.

Love with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

Take care and be well.

Another thought provoking post Nil.

I believe that love can hurt while you are still learning about what love really is. There has to be the struggle of growth in order to be able to know it. When you understand it and have begun to live it truthfully, it does not hurt. It is tranquil, enlightening, uplifting and glorious.

"I believe that love can hurt while you are still learning about what love really is." Key word there is while you are still learning. You see, love by itself is pure and only heals but you, when learning, allow doubts and fear from your ego to creep in and these is what hurts. When you let go of your doubts an fears, love never hurts.
