About Me

I have done a lot of things in my life and have also worked in many different jobs to make a living and to experience life. This blog is just some of my musings, sometimes funny, sometimes inspirational, sometimes sad, sometimes angry, sometimes simple but all the time, it's just me.

Breaking Free

The next few blogs are breaking free from some of the chains we have tied ourselves down with.

These chains and cords that have been holding us down and holding us back within this falsified livelihood of compliance and controls and myths and beliefs.

Breaking free of worry. All types of unnecessary worries that we tie down our lives with.

Breaking free of what others think of us.

Breaking free of fear of failure and "I'm going to fail" syndrome.

Breaking free of making the same mistake syndrome.

Breaking free by cutting ties with the past.

And clean out our mental closets so that we are free.

After breaking free and doing some spring cleaning, I will write a few blogs on the journey of our divine soul - about re-birth, soul wounds and about wake up calls like I have had. About how we prepare our bodies to be temple of the soul and how we should always respect other's beliefs and not belittle their beliefs even if they were to belittle yours.

Then, to end this theme that was started in April, I will write about Soul Living, getting out of body living and living divine soul within. About choices you will make, about stepping into your soul power, also how you can tune up and finally how and what do you plan to do with it. Will you be touching lives.

These is going to take a few more blogs, maybe 9 maybe 12, I do not know and as I write I will know. It may take the rest of May or it may not.

But let us begin with breaking free.

I have had many talents and dreams that have been shattered in the past that I began to doubt my own strengths and abilities. These stemmed from how I was brought up. I hardly ever received praise for anything I did well nor encouragement to be what I have become. My father has never once said that he was proud of me and my mother came from a different generation and died to young to even have said so.

I never did well in school and my sights were set so low that I constantly worried if I would be able to work well and whether I could handle responsibility.

Life is sometimes like a merry go round, sometimes it is safer to stay on then to jump off because you fear the unknown and you fear that you may not be able to get back on.

Worry is an extension of fear and it can be a blow to your development. So, it is time to cast aside those limitations that has held you back and I encourage you to start breaking from the past habits.

My life changed when I started breaking away from the past habits and when I removed myself from all these limitations that were set in my upbringing.

I still know people around me that are worry factories, they manufacture worries for free and on a 24x7 basis. They agonize over each and every thing and my mother in law is amongst these worry factories.

I have a deep empathy for people like her as I know how it is like. Are you like that? I have broken free, time for you to break free as well. Of course I still have some worries but I do not let them tie me down and I do not let them form my character.

Many of you may not be even aware that you are worrying because it has become so common that it has become a habit-forming characteristic. Becoming aware is an important part of anxiety reduction.

When you become more aware, it will become possible to switch it off before it takes on a character of its own. Remember, you can't change the world and you can't change your wife, husband, father, mother, brother, sister ..... but you can change yourself.

By working on ourselves, we nourish the overall positive consciousness of the world we live in and are connected to.

Remember, that being perfect is not necessary and sometimes trying to be a perfectionist is what increases the worries in our lives.

You do not have to be a masterpiece of perfection, you just need to have permission to be human. Just draw on the best of your abilities and to do things for the highest good and simply being happy in the now.

When you adopt this attitude, you will worry less and therefore be happier just following this process.

Today or this weekend, all I want you to do is identify what is worrying you. Is it family, finances, career, what other people think of you, weight, visiting a doctor, rising fuel costs and therefore rising food costs, exams, other people's problems? These are but a few examples. Make a list of your worries. Think about it, bring it to your consciousness.

Writing it down is a step towards breaking free. Be aware of it.

Thank you and I love you.

Take care and be well.
