About Me

I have done a lot of things in my life and have also worked in many different jobs to make a living and to experience life. This blog is just some of my musings, sometimes funny, sometimes inspirational, sometimes sad, sometimes angry, sometimes simple but all the time, it's just me.

Rainbows and heavens

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

There is a side of heaven called the rainbow bridge.

This is where is will see all the animals and pets I have known and loved in my life.

Bob and Spot whom I wrote about earlier.

Even the little spiders in the matchboxes.

And Rusty.

For a long time, Bob lived alone. She was getting a little old and slow but still loved to play.

The young Rusty came along. My host parents got a new relatively young kitten and male. He was a feisty and active little fella.

He would do funny things and jump here and there.

Bob just tolerated it and to be honest, I think she loved Rusty to bits. Rusty kept her young and active and Rusty treated Bob with respect like an aunt.

Rusty was a fun cat, he was a playful cat and he was such a loving boy.

I miss both Bob and Rusty and I am certain both of them are having fun up on the side of Rainbow Bridge waiting for J&C to show up eventually.

Eventually all my pets and friends pets that I have known and that will pass before me will be on the side of Rainbow Bridge waiting for their loved ones, their human parents to show up and together they will all go to heaven.

Take care and be well.
