About Me

I have done a lot of things in my life and have also worked in many different jobs to make a living and to experience life. This blog is just some of my musings, sometimes funny, sometimes inspirational, sometimes sad, sometimes angry, sometimes simple but all the time, it's just me.

Who am I meant to be?

Mufasa's ghost: [appears among the stars] Simba, you have forgotten me.

Adult Simba: No. How could I?

Mufasa's ghost: You have forgotten who you are and so have forgotten me. Look inside yourself, Simba. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the Circle of Life.

Adult Simba: How can I go back? I'm not who I used to be.

Mufasa's ghost: Remember who you are. You are my son, and the one true king. Remember...

I love to watch cartoons, even until now. In the Lion King, Mufasa spirit comes to Simba in a vision and here I quote because it is just so appropriate.

Similarly, God and my guardian told me a few months ago. Remember who you are. You are my child. You are the child of the King.

The first fifteen days of my journey are over, I am half way there. Every week or so, I start with a new theme to my 30 day journey of no regrets. I have covered living passionately and loving completely as I venture this week on learning humbly.

I have had a long exhausting and productive day where somethings I was putting away from doing and dragging my feet just got done at work.

Being brain tired, I nearly decided to take a break from blogging today but just like I stopped dragging my feet at work, I need to stop dragging my feet on my journey as well.

I have often wondered who am I meant to be? Some people say be optimistic, some say be realistic and some pessimistic always say things are getting worst.

The dreamers like me feel that if I shoot for the moon, even if I miss, I will be among the stars.

I love watching stars, when I go away to my friends place in the jungle, the stars are still clear and visible. But here in the city, all you see is the perpetual glow of artificial light and city haze that it would be a fantastic day if you can even see the moon, what more stars.

When I look at the sky and see all the blinking stars and I wonder as I ask God,"In this wonderful Universe that has been created, who am I? What is my place, what is my location, what is my niche and what is my position in this grand plan of life that you have created for me?"

Of course my guardian and God will answer and inform to me that I mean so much, and He has a grand purpose for my life.

To truly understand who am I and my purpose in life, I have to be like a telescope and take a closer look and look up to the Source of my creation to comprehend what I am meant to be. Without a Creator, there is no greater meaning and purpose.

But the creator has created the billions of galaxies that scientist have discovered and many billions more that remain undiscovered by the human. In each of these galaxies, there are millions of stars and again many millions remain undiscovered.

It's mind boggling. But the Creator loves variety, so just like a scientist, he creates many things and He loves imagination like an artist. Just sit on a bench and look at the variety of people, plants, animals he has created in this Earth, what more the billions of other galaxies.

Remember who you are, you are the child of a King.
Too many of us have forgotten our Creator and thus we miss out on the purpose and meaning of life. I was no different. I think I had not searched for God or prayed since my mom died many years ago and only started connecting back recently.

When you forget your Creator, you are not living but just existing. Just like I did not know, you will not know your place in life because you have forgotten who you are.

While God's purpose is to bring our life to the fullest, Satan has a plan for you to settle for so much less. The thief will always plan to steal, kill and destroy.

Again to take a quote from among my favorite authors, C.S. Lewis, "There is no neutral ground in the Universe; every square inch, every split second ins claimed by God and counterclaimed by Satan."

Our enemies will always try to undermine our confidence in who we are made to be.

But always remember who you are, you are a child of God, you are a child of the King, that is our true identity. We have been forgiven and we are valuable to God, He truly loves us that much, infinitely.

Today, as I sit in front of God and my guardian, I carry with me His Grace and His Love for me and I keep that in my heart and am daily reminded of that. A red crystal rooster sits in front of me to remind me that I am just but a rooster (my Chinese zodiac) in this Universe that God has created.

I have also started making a list of my strengths, everything I can think of and I am being as specific and concrete as possible and I have started writing how much time in this past week I have devoted to using and improving that gift.

Among things in my list is that I am a gifted and inspirational writer. I have spent about 15 hours on using and improving this gift in the last week.

At work, I am able to grasp ideas quickly and slug it out to complete my tasks on time. To do specific tasks at work, I have spent about 20 hours in the past week.

I am a creative cook who can make a nutritiously delicious meal within an hour. In all honesty, I have spent no time cooking this past week because I have been enjoying nutritiously delicious meals from another wonderful chef in the house, wifey.

Tonight, spend some time to listen to the song below sung about Psalm 8 in he Bible.

And as you listen to this song, go out and look out at the stars and the moon or the birds and the trees.

When you look at these things, where does your heart go, where does your mind go? Are you able o write a poem to God.

This is my 10 minute poem :-

As I look up a the moon and the stars,
I am reminded of Your magnificence.
As I hear the birds chirping a melody in the morning,
I am grateful of Your wake up call.
As I feel the morning dew on the grass out back,
I feel Your comforting touch.
Then I look at myself,
And I am reminded
I am the son of a King,
and I thank You God,
I thank You,
for the birds and the flowers,
for the mountains and the breeze,
for the sea and the waves,
for the fishes and the mermaids,
for the animals all around,
and your Love for them all,
and your infinite Love for me.

Take care and be well.

totally true. We all have purpose, we just need to actively search that out. :)
