About Me

I have done a lot of things in my life and have also worked in many different jobs to make a living and to experience life. This blog is just some of my musings, sometimes funny, sometimes inspirational, sometimes sad, sometimes angry, sometimes simple but all the time, it's just me.

Hope for Haiti

Yesterday I was watching the telethon Hope for Haiti.

There are a lot of things people have done to help Haiti but after having read news, watching the news, seeing the telethon - the simplest thing one can do is provide some money to the right organisation.

If you would like to help, you can go to the following link or in Malaysia, I am sure the Red Crescent (Red Cross) is also collecting some funds.

Hope for Haiti

Among the performances yesterday, Justin Timberlake and Matt Morris performed Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah.

Donate Now: 1-877-99-HAITI in US/Canada, or go to http://www.hopeforhaitinow.org/

Hope that Haiti will be able to rebuild.

Take care and be well.

you can make donate on the Mercy Malaysia website www.mercy.org.my or better still go to Mercy Malaysia Miri chapter at 54 Piasau Gardens... and while there ask how you can volunteer and help the local malaysian as well... you will be surprised that local malaysian also need help.. though helping local is not so Glamourous as helping foreigners

For me it has never been about local or international or glamour or not glamour. Most of the charity I give anonymously but I am more and more becoming particular to only give where real charity is needed. The thing I have noticed about some local charities is that they have become very demanding i.e. we want a LCD TV, we want a van, we want a large refrigarator etc etc. I prefer donating to people who still really have a need for basics i.e. clothes, towels, a school bag, coloring book.
